The Science

Vibrational Energies

It is scientific knowledge that color is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The wavelengths of colors and their vibrational energies have been the subjects of numerous scientific studies.

Emotional responses to various colors have also been cited in a significant number of psychological studies.  Real-time MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machines for example, can permit simultaneous measurement and observation of brain activity during an ongoing task or response to visual stimuli. The Science of Healing Frequencies

As living entities, we are made up of atoms and molecules, which in turn make up the various organs and systems in our bodies, each with its own chemical composition and corresponding healthy frequency. Click Here

"When there is illness, an organ’s frequency or strength will change. When certain color frequencies are shone on or around the body or absorbed through the eyes, these organs can absorb the energy they need to come back into balance."
- Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp

Dr. Popp was the founder of the International Institute of Biophysics in Neuss, Germany (1996), an international network of 19 research groups from 13 countries involved in biophoton research and coherence systems in biology.

The Body’s Response to Healing Frequencies

People are often drawn to specific pieces of Helen’s HealingArts™ because they feel moved in unexpected, emotional ways.  Often, they feel a sense of connection, nurturing, and even love emanating from her art.

Specific parts of the body that have energetic deficiencies may respond to high frequency vibrations. Our physical-emotional body may be drawn to specific colors on a subconscious level to find the balance it is seeking.

"We are naturally drawn to the colors whose frequency we need more of and which correlate with our energy deficiencies.  The premise is by using color, we can direct energy to those areas of our body, meridians and organs, which need healing."
- Leanne Venier, Science of Color and Light Therapy Expert

Helen Kagan is considered a pioneer in creating art with a healing intention. She is a part of the global community, The Healing Power of Art and Artists, an organization that advocates for raising awareness about art serving as a catalyst for healing individuals, society, and our environment. Changing Impaired Energy Patterns

One of the world's most sought-out, joyous, authoritative spokespersons for Energy Medicine, Donna Eden, says that conventional medicine, at its foundation, focuses on the biochemistry of cells, tissue, and organs. Energy Medicine, at its foundation, focuses on the energy fields of the body that organize and control the growth and repair of cells, tissues, and organs.  She utilizes the healing properties of colors in her energy work much like Dr. Helen Kagan does in her HealingArts™.

Color to Heal and Enhance Our Lives

Color therapy and healing (also known as chromotherapy or light therapy) is a type of holistic healing that uses the visible spectrum of light and color to affect a person’s mood and physical or mental health.

Each color falls into a specific frequency and vibration, which many believe contribute to specific properties that can be used to affect the energy and frequencies within our bodies.  In each of her works of art, Dr. Kagan intentionally uses the whole spectrum of color to allow healing to take place.  This is why her HealingArts™ is called “a symphony of colors.”

Healing Elements

In an article by Renee Phillips, it was said that Leonardo da Vinci preferred to meditate in a lavender or purple-colored light.

Some 75 percent of small children choose purple over other colors.  We decided to use the purple color on our website for that very reason - its higher frequency healing vibration.

Vibrational frequencies of color, sacred geometry, shamanic healing, spiritual symbolism, and various forms of energy healing are all powerful elements and found their purposeful place in Helen’s art. Click Here

Creating with Healing Intention

Dr. Kagan’s professional training as a scientist, clinical psychologist, and psychotherapist, among other academic degrees, aligned with her intuitive healing and artistic abilities in a unique way, manifesting in her HealingArts™ creations.

The scientific principles she had learned in her multiple studies for various degrees found their path into her artistic work as did her many other holistic and alternative trainings in a variety of fields.

Painting while “in flow” with healing intention became Helen’s main self-healing modality, which later successfully used to create her HealingArts™ and now in Wearable HealingArts™. Creating in this flow aligns the right and left brain into a special synergy.  Click Here

Chakras

If you are familiar with the Ayurvedic concept of chakras (energy centers in the body), you know each one is associated with a specific color because of its unique vibration. The wave lengths of these colors and their vibrational energies align with each of the seven main chakras.  Every chakra corresponds to a specific color and possesses its own pulse, density, frequency, wavelength, musical tone, breathing pattern, and movement.

For example, the color red has the longest waves, which means it vibrates at a lower frequency and this is why the root chakra is associated with the color red.  On the other hand, violet has the shortest wavelength, thus reaching the highest frequency of all seven chakras, and therefore the crown chakra corresponds to the color purple. Translating the Energy

Many viewers and collectors of HealingArts™, including holistic practitioners, have been impressed by the amount of light, love, and high frequency energies emanating from Helen’s art.

Dr. Kagan called upon Reiki masters, intuitive healers, and other energy practitioners to measure the healing energy of some of her original pieces.  She then asked them to compare reproductions to the originals.  All practitioners found the healing energies to transfer to the reproductions on various surfaces including fabrics, canvas, and paper.

Most surmised that the healing frequencies of color, sacred geometry, and energetically balanced compositions held their intention and translate onto various mediums and surfaces. Click Here

Sacred Geometry

Sacred geometry (geometric shapes and forms) and the spectrum of color coordinated with them are a big part of HealingArts™ by Helen Kagan. The sacred geometry that Helen uses in her artwork ascribes symbolic and sacred meanings to certain geometric shapes and certain geometric proportions.

According to Stephen Skinner, the study of sacred geometry has its roots in the study of nature, and the mathematical principles at work therein.  Many forms observed in nature can be related to geometry; for example, the chambered nautilus grows at a constant rate and so its shell forms a logarithmic spiral, which is considered one of the main sacred geometry symbols used in spirituality and healing.  Honeybees construct hexagonal cells to hold their honey which is another symbol used in sacred geometry.

Various forms of mandalas are also very important symbols in Eastern healing philosophies and practices such as yoga, zen, and qigong.  Mandalas are often interpreted in terms of sacred geometry and considered to be further proof of the natural significance of geometric forms in the art of healing.
